Emma Watson was mistakenly stopped by US
border control this week because they thought she was 12 years
old.
The actress was at JFK Airport when she was questioned by
officials at passport control, who thought she was an unaccompanied
minor.
The Harry Potter star tweeted: "Passport control: 'unaccompanied
minor?' Me: 'sorry?' Passport control: 'where is ur guardian?' Me:
'I'm 22!!!!!!"
The star then added: "The really sad thing is that this is not
the first time this has happened."
An insider said: "Emma was mortified. Not only did they not know
who she was they thought she was a child. It was very embarrassing
but she managed to awkwardly laugh it off."
Watson was returning to America where she will continue her
studies at Brown University in Rhode Island.
